Celebrate Valentine’s Day By Not Letting My Chronic Illness Steal My Joy, Sparkle, and BLISS.

There are many reasons why I have written and published my newest two books.

It was to share my journey of resilience and share HOPE with others.

At the end of the day, I will not let Fibromyalgia define me.

I will fight this disease on the right side and the one that stands for me!

I will continue to be happy and NOT LET TAKE OVER MY BLISS In Life.

~Author/Advocate Deb Morgan

Keeping Up The Positive Fight!

“You have a chronic incurable illness;” those were the words the Doctor told me on the day I found out I had fibromyalgia.

It could be treated, but it could not be cured. Another illness, one with lifetime pain and the loss of strength, eventually in my muscles, which included my heart and lungs. I was damn angry as my life was changing drastically again, with nothing I could do about it. Some nights, I would lay awake in bed and ask myself what I did to deserve this. Of course, the answer was that nobody deserves it.

My anger only served to make it worse.

I would look in the mirror some days and aside from the worn-out face looking back at me I didn’t look sick. A curse had darkened my doorstep this disease was killing me from the inside out. Not literally but more importantly in the physical and mental sense.

I soon found that all the bargaining to try and make a deal with the almighty was being done in my mind over an invisible enemy. This disease makes itself blatantly clear that it is the boss, was I just going to roll over and let it kill me? Should it have the right to define me?

My life may be different than what it was before, but I still laugh and smile. I may not live the most active life right now, but I now enjoy the conversation with my family and friends. I was unable to move through life as quickly as I did before, but now I know the importance of slowing down and not letting life pass you by.

I may not have a lot of good days physically, so I’ve come to appreciate the good days so much more. I may have lost a lot of things in this battle, but I’ve gained a lot of the spoils. I have a new and improved outlook on life because early in my heartstopping diagnosis I promised myself I would not let this disease take over my life. . .❣️

WISHING YOU ALL A VERY HAPPY BLESSED VALENTINE’S DAY 💌💘

It’s Time To Have The Conversation About
Chronic Illnesses!

Summer Is In Full Swing and Enjoying It Can Be Challenging Year Round With Chronic Pain For Those With Chronic Illnesses. . .

First, I want to share that I have chosen to keep my Kindle books and the paperbacks on sale through August 18th, 2024 from Amazon, and now that summer is in full swing, those of us who have challenging symptoms from chronic illnesses don’t always have the luxury of enjoying summertime like everyone else, and the activities and places we like to spend a warm summer day like the beach, the pool, or the lake.

Especially when you battle with chronic pain, which most times comes with many types of chronic disease. Per an article in Forbes mag., More than 51 million Americans experienced chronic pain in 2021 alone, according to CDC reports that analyzed data from the National Health Interview Survey. This staggering number now supports 20.9% of the United States population alone.

I recently read “The War on Chronic Pain,” an article in the June 2024 issue of AARP magazine and you can find it right here: https://www.aarp.org/benefits-discounts/members-only-access/info-2024/managing-chronic-pain.html.
I would recommend you become a member like I am for their monthly publication.

It is very informative and confirms why I wrote my newest book “Breaking The Silence: Confronting Guilt and Shame in the Chronic Pain World“…can be purchased on Amazon> https://www.amazon.com/Breaking-Silence-Confronting-Guilt-Chronic-ebook/dp/B0CW1N55NX/ and was happy to have done so.

If you face chronic pain challenges, I hope you consider checking out my new book ‘Breaking The Silence’ and see if my shared experiences in the book can help you manage your chronic pain and much more. If you do read my books?

I hope you will consider leaving a rating and review on Amazon for each book which would be appreciated. I am writing a third book, so your reviews help me know what readers want within these topics I write about…

Thanks for your visit!
